Waccamaw High's wrestling team went 1-2 at a tri-match against Carolina Forest, Loris and Timberland last week.
The Warriors beat the Class AAAA Panthers, but lost to the Class AA Lions and Wolves.
Against Carolina Forest, Parker Williams (182), Hunter Brininger (heavyweight), Jeremy Lee (106), Arman Singh (120), Tyler Pettit (132), Conner Summer (138) and Adar Singh (145) all won by pins.
Pettit's and Adar Singh's victories came about 30 seconds into their matches, and Arman Singh's win came in the closing seconds of his match.
The final score was 42-34.
Against Loris, Pettit and Travis Pierce (220) won by pins, and Adar Singh, Lee, Hank Hutto (113) and Josh Herriott (185) won by forfeit.
The match ended up tied 42-42, but the Lions were declared the winners after nearly a dozen tiebreakers were considered.
"Loris came to wrestle and we didn't," Waccamaw coach Scott Cook said.
Against Timberland, Pierce, Brininger, Hutto, Pettit and Adar Singh all won by pins.
Brininger's victory came about 25 seconds into his match.
The final score was 45-36.
