Dorothy “Dot” Eugenia Bollinger-Rhymer, 82, of Conway and Pawleys Island passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011 after a long illness.
Born in Clifty, TN she was one of fourteen children of the late Alfred Leo and Ida Alice Morgan. She enjoyed fishing and traveling, especially to Alaska.
Survivors include her husband, Willard Rhymer of Conway; daughters, Patricia Hoerner Chase (Ken) of Pawleys Island and Sandra Pope Rollins (William) of Warsaw, NC; sons, Charles Pope (Lisa) of Raleigh, NC and Gary Thomas Honeycutt (Susan) of Burlington, NC; grandchildren, Amanda Morgan Hoerner, Andy Hatley, David Honeycutt, Ivana Zackrison, Danica Powell, Jeffrey, April, Rebecca, Anthony, Christopher, and Michael Pope; step-daughters, Theresa Childs (Michael) of Socastee, Lisa Brock (Derek) of Simpsonville, SC; step-grandchildren, Jessica Wympi, Elise Childs and Katie Brock; brothers Lane Morgan (Liz) of Griffin, GA, Arthur Morgan of Walker, TN, and Kenneth Morgan of Crossville, TN; and sisters Mary Tuck (Martin) of Akron OH, and Myrna Barry (Robert) of Murfreesboro, TN; and many great-grandchildren.

Harvey Harrelson
Harvey Newsom Harrelson, 85, wife of Col. W. LeRoy Harrelson, Jr. of DeBordieu Colony in Georgetown, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Tidelands Community Hospice House.
Born in Sebring, Fla., January 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Ivy Calhoun Newsom.
At age six months, her family moved to Allendale, where she grew up.
She was predeceased by a sister, Mrs. Ralph H. Walker, of Greenville.
Mrs. Harrelson was a great-great niece of U. S. Senator, Secretary of State and Vice President John C. Calhoun of South Carolina.
She was the daughter in law of the late Dr. W. LeRoy Harrelson, first mayor of Myrtle Beach, and Mrs. Harrelson.
Mrs. Harvey Harrelson was a graduate of Converse College, Spartanburg, Class of 1946, where she majored in voice.
Known for her beautiful lyric soprano voice, she pursued graduate studies at the New England Conservatory of Music, Boston, Mass.
She later was a music teacher in Madison, Wisconsin, while her husband was in graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin; and in Orangeburg.
While residing in Columbia, during the late 1970’s, after her sons had left for college, she became a Realtor with the Gordon-Gallup Real Estate Company, where she was “Rookie of the Year.”
During the mid 1950’s she and her husband published and edited the Myrtle Beach News, Myrtle Beach, where she served as women’s editor.
She and her husband were members of the First Presbyterian Church in Myrtle Beach.
Mrs. Harrelson was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Winyah Chapter, Georgetown.
She was a member of Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church.
Colonel and Mrs. Harrelson were married sixty two and one half years.
Mrs. Harrelson is survived by three sons and five grandchildren; W. LeRoy Harrelson, III of Conway, James N. Harrelson and his wife Grace Engstrom Harrelson of Boone, N. C. and children Abigail, Andrew, Margaret, and Katherine; and Calhoun Harrelson and his wife Julie Cribb Harrelson and son Julian of Greenville.
A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 4, 2011, at Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church.
Officiating was Rev. Frank S. Holsclaw.

Nena Howard
Nena D.C. Howard, 51, of Georgetown died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at Tidelands Hospice in Georgetown, SC.
She was born in Richmond, VA on February 12, 1960.
She attended Manchester County schools.
Mrs. Howard was predeceased by her mother, Gladys Dalli-Cardillo.
She is survived by her father Gerlando Dalli-Cardillo of Richmond, VA and her husband, Lloyd D. Howard of Georgetown, SC; a son, Bart Marvin Green, Jr. of Richmond, VA; two sisters, Sharon(Gary) Whisnant of Murrells Inlet, SC and Michelle(David) Sutton of Mechanicsville, VA; two grandchildren, Harmony Renee Green of Greensboro, NC and Dustin Keith Cribb of Fayetteville, NC; one nephew, Brandon Sutton of Mechanicsville, VA; and a special friend, Lorraine(Donny) Howard, who was a blessing to her.
Mrs. Howard had many talents and careers: Snow plowing, tree service, hair stylist, childcare and cabinet shop.
She was better known in Debordieu Colony by her many friends and coworkers for plant nursery propagation and care where she maintained the country club golf course flowers for the last decade.
Her hobbies were fishing, dancing and most of all Horticulture.
Memorial services were at 12 noon on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Ringle Heights Baptist Church, 78 Rubin Ave, Georgetown, SC, with family receiving friends afterwards in the adjacent fellowship hall.
Memorials may be made to Ringle Heights Baptist Church or Tidelands Hospice.
