COLUMBIA, S.C. - The swimming advisory issued Wednesday for a section of beach in Garden City has been lifted, the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control announced late Thursday evening.
Water samples indicate bacteria amounts in the ocean at Hawes Avenue in Garden City have returned to acceptable levels.
