Police blotter: Woman, possibly pregnant, kicked in stomach

Published Thursday, October 20, 2011 12:54 PM

A 27-year-old Myrtle Beach woman said she was assaulted by her 30-year-old boyfriend while at The Point off South Waccamaw Drive in Garden City Oct. 9.
She said she was laying in the sun while her boyfriend was fishing.
She said when he finished he said “let’s go.” She did not get up immediately and he allegedly kicked her in the stomach.
After being kicked, the woman told her boyfriend she was calling police, so he fled on foot.
Thinking there is a possibility she is pregnant, the woman went to the emergency room to be checked out.
The man has not been located.

Bi-Lo worker allegedly
caught stealing

The loss prevention officer for Bi-Lo met with deputies Oct. 10 to report a female worker stole $300 from the store.
He said when the main drawer was $300 short on Sept. 30, he reviewed video from security cameras.
The woman is seen opening the drawer, grabbing the cash and walking out of the office.
The worker met with deputies and denied the theft. She said what she was holding in the photos was a piece of carbon paper from checks.
The woman was arrested for petit larceny.

Housekeeper
acts strange

A woman from Wesley Road in Pawleys Island called deputies Oct. 12 because her housekeeper had been calling her asking “strange questions.”
She said the woman only cleaned her house four times before she fired her because she discovered the worker is a former drug user.
The complainant said when the former worker called she made comments about the nice things in the home and asked if the woman was home alone.
Deputies told the woman charges could not be pressed for simply asking questions but the report was taken as information.

Information  is subject to change as the investigation proceeds. Individuals arrested and/or charged have not been convicted.
